as Life-saving defibrillators fitted at local pubs, clubs
Efforts to raise funds for a defibrillator for the Nambucca Heads Sports and Leagues Club have been hailed a complete success by the local Jump Start Restart Committee.
It was a great achievement for our small committee to reach our goal and then exceed expectations, when they launched an appeal to buy a Zoll AED Plus defibrillator for use at the playing fields of Coronation Park.
The result came through the hard work and support of all the sporting bodies that use the fields, along with Lions, Rotary, the Chamber of Commerce, Frank Partridge High School, the local caravan park, the Nambucca Heads Surf Club and NSW ambulance service which also uses Zoll defibrillators.
There was great public support from patrons at the V-Wall Tavern, from raffles at the Leagues Club, tins on the counter at many local stores and other business house and personal donations.
The result of such overwhelming support was: a machine based at the Leagues and Sports Club; another at the V-Wall Tavern; one at the Island Golf Club; and the group is in process of assisting the Bowling Club to up-grade their older machine
Before the end of the year they may be able to supply one for the main street of Nambucca Heads, to be based at the Golden Sands Tavern,”
Australian Defibrillators was proud to supply the Jump Start Restart Committee with the Zoll AED Plus defibrillators.
